COLOMBIA, Bogotá, gold cob 2 escudos, (1705), no assayer (Arce), Charles II posthumous, NGC MS 64 (1715 Fleet Shipwreck Label). ARCE-91; Restrepo-M66.36; S-B11; Cal-1923 (under Ph. V); KM-14.2; Fr-4a. Choice full cross (including three complete dimple-rings) with faint trace of date in legend (confirmed by die matching, not noted by NGC), also choice full shield with lots of crisp details and (CA)ROL(VS) clear in legend, great luster and nice color, desirable grade. From the 1715 Fleet, with original Cobb Coin Co. plastic orange tag 1988 / 3299 and paper tag NCB3299MO.
